The blaze orange Speed Energy drink machine of Jessie Johnson muscled atop the podium to earn him his fourth podium appearance on the season and second win after a fierce battle emerged upon the nine-tenth-mile short course off-road race track in the SuperLite Championship division at Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Round 8 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.
Cody Rahders, who has proven himself championship material in his concurrent UTV-racing career and through impressive lap times behind the wheel of a SuperLite, finally fought his way to the podium to wow the crowd and capture second after fiercely-contested race.
A front runner in the hunt for the coveted championship, Metal Mulisha's Ryan Hagy battled to a second place finish, delivering him closer to the series points lead with his third podium appearance of the season.
Boasting a proverbial all-or-nothing driving style that continues to lead the season points chase, Sheldon Creed clinched the race's fast lap in his lap 14 effort with an elapsed time of 48.216 seconds and speed of 67.198 miles per hour. But that was the last official lap he was to complete on the day.
