Whether they are trying to back flip a bike over a building 60-stories high, or landing a death defying jump, the Nitro Circus is known for dreaming up the most dangerous stunts in the world of action sports. In efforts engineered to promote the Nitro Circus 3D movie (in theaters Aug 8th), Nitro Circus will land some of its cast behind the wheel of the famed SuperLite Championship trucks, which we land the trucks in a myriad of promotions as well as a spot upon the big screen in the movie premier. 

Next weekend's showdown at Glen Helen Raceway will mark several monumental firsts in SuperLite Championship Arrive & Drive racing history. We cannot recall the last time we gave away promo rides in the cockpit of our spec-class race truck. But we're doing it. Sure, we've donated a few rides to charitable causes. But we've never flat out given them away. And we've never had the likes of Nitro Circus involved in the theater of SuperLite short course off-road racing to make that happen. Will Erik Roner and Gregg Godfrey pose a threat to the lead act of SuperLite racing?

You could say that Gregg Godfrey, aka The Muscle Hamster, aka Not Special Greg, is kind of like a mother to the Nitro crew. The kind of mother who encourages her offspring to do such activities such as jump motorcycles into the Grand Canyon, or continuously fly down mega ramps at break neck speeds off of gigantic jumps on rickety contraptions, only to inevitably come to brutal and bone crushing ends. Not only does this motherly figure encourage such behavior, he joins in on the action.

Raised in the outdoor playground that is Northern California, Erik developed a love for the outdoors. His mother, an avid skier from Utah, put him on skis at an early age, immediately falling in love with the mountains, freedom and raw speed of the sport.

From Mega Ramp at the X Games, to jumping the Great Wall Of China, his transition into his Plan B Skateboards / Nixon Watches / Independent Trucks SuperLite truck was a natural move.
